Stansell Properties & Development, LLC is a WBE certified general contractor that specializes in commercial construction across 20 licensed states.
The company was founded by Harold Stansell in 2006. At the beginning, Stansell Properties & Development had one client and worked solely in the state of Florida. In 2014, the company was sold to John Stege, and since then Stansell has seen tremendous growth across the Southeast while keeping the strong reputation that came with the Stansell name. John and partner Jim Kurtz, who joined as COO in 2017, expanded the business model by adding JTS Contracting, building up a team of quality people, gaining more national clients, and expanding their territory.
In 2021, Angelica Connor purchased 51% of the company, and she was named CEO. With this addition to the brand, Stansell became one of the only certified, woman-owned general contractors in Florida. This transition also enhanced the culture, created more work opportunities, and emphasized the importance of diversity both within the company and in the industry.
Stansell has completed projects for many recognizable brands, including McDonald's, Chick-Fil-A, Bloomin Brands, Raising Cane's, Salad and Go, Chipotle, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Village Medical, 7-Eleven, and more. Since 2014, Stansell has maintained licenses in 20 US states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Stansell has completed over 2,000 projects varying in scope from facilities repairs to ground up construction and everything in between. We seek to learn our customers' needs then do everything we can to exceed their expectations. We are a customer service company that is good at construction!

At Stansell, we are committed to implementing sustainable practices both in our office and out in the field to ensure that we are doing our part to positively impact the future of our communities, industry, and environment. From energy conservation to waste management, we believe that it is our responsibility to control and minimize the negative effects of construction by following safe and sustainable construction practices. We have acted on our initiatives by becoming a member of the United States Green Building Council and through obtaining LEED Green Associate certifications.

We believe that sustainability starts before a project begins, so we make sure that all aspects of the preconstruction process are set up for a sustainable, safe, and efficient project. This process includes communicating our sustainability standards and encouraging better practices with our client, discussing potential water, stormwater, and weather delays, proposing alternate solutions to potential problems, and we discuss costs and benefits of green building. We continue these conversations into the construction and post construction phase to stay in constant communication with our client to reinforce our commitment to achieving a successful and sustainable project.
