CAVA, Orlando, FL

white blueprint

Project Overview

Stansell completed a tenant-improvement build for CAVA at Lake Nona in Orlando, fitting out the interior space for the restaurant's operations. Having already delivered CAVA's E Colonial location in the same municipality, the team came in already knowing the local requirements and permitting expectations.

Project Highlights

Familiarity with the municipality gave the team a head start, but the build still ran into a series of obstacles that had to be solved as they came up:

  • RTU curb and HVAC issues. The rooftop unit (RTU), the equipment that heats and cools the building, needed adjustments to its mounting curb and system setup.
  • Electrical complications. Existing electrical panels were outdated and had to be worked around to meet the project's needs.
  • Late revisions. Design changes arrived later than usual, requiring the schedule to absorb them without slipping.

The team of John Heller, Jay Dominguez, Jeff Black, and Derek Heron kept communication open and worked through each problem while holding the schedule and the quality CAVA expected. The strong client score CAVA gave at the end reflects that effort.
