New ground-up restaurant construction for Raising Cane's in Ocala, Florida. The project was built as an outparcel development on a shared site with an active car wash tenant, requiring carefully phased construction and extensive offsite utility coordination.
The site came with several coordination challenges. As an outparcel development, construction was phased to maintain continuous access for an active car wash tenant sharing the property. Offsite utility work -- storm, sanitary, and electrical -- made scheduling even more involved.
Early on, the team ran into plan deficiencies that created obstacles in the field. Rather than waiting on revised drawings, the field crew stayed engaged, catching inconsistencies and asking the right questions to keep work moving without rework.
Closeout required close coordination with the Engineer of Record to meet detailed city requirements, including the closure of multiple FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) permits. The project earned high remarks and a strong RPS score at turnover.
