Arizona was one of the first states we expanded into outside of our Florida headquarters. We were brought in by an existing client who needed reliable construction support in the region, and the relationship grew quickly from there.
What started as a single client relationship has evolved into one of our top-performing markets. Today, we support half a dozen national-brand clients across multiple sectors and employ a dedicated team of 10 individuals focused entirely on the Arizona market.
Our Arizona market is led by Market Manager J Johnson, who is local to the region and has been a key reason for our success here. J started with Stansell over five years ago as a superintendent before working his way up to project manager and then market manager. He's loved by our clients and trade partners alike — earning him several Stansell accolades, including the coveted Customer-Focused Award.

This Raising Cane's was one of the first projects to break ground in its development area, and that early timing created a real challenge: the site's electrical infrastructure wasn't fully designed yet.
Specifically, there were open questions about where and when the restaurant would tie into the development's Primary Distribution Loop, which is the main circuit that routes power throughout a large-scale development. Because that loop design hadn't been finalized, there was no clear path to getting power to the building when Stansell first mobilized.
Rather than waiting for answers to come, Stansell worked directly with the local municipality, the power utility provider, and the Cane's design team to sort through the obstacles together. That collaboration helped identify efficient solutions that kept the project on track without creating problems for the rest of the development's infrastructure.
