Stansell Construction, a commercial construction company specializing in restaurant construction and retail construction, is honored to share that we have been named the #1 Top Workplace for 2026 in the midsize category by the Tampa Bay Times.
In addition to this recognition, we were also awarded the Managers Award, which recognizes organizations that value input, listen to their people, and create an environment where employees feel empowered to contribute and grow.
These honors were announced at the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces breakfast held on Friday, March 27 in Tampa, where companies from across the region came together to celebrate cultures built on trust, accountability, and strong leadership.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized as a Top Workplace in Tampa Bay and be surrounded by such inspiring companies creating new standards for what workplace culture should be," said Angelica Connor, CEO of Stansell Construction.
Being named number one is something we do not take lightly. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it is based on feedback from our team. It reflects the environment we are committed to building every day. One where people are respected, where their voices are heard, and where they are given the opportunity to take ownership in their roles and in the future of the company.
"Culture is what you do and not what you say. We have a strong mission aligned with our four pillars of character, integrity, work ethic and how you treat people, and it is truly the best to watch our people live and breathe those values every day. Our culture is strong because our people are bought into it," Connor added.
At Stansell, we believe strong companies are built by strong people. That means creating clarity, setting expectations, and supporting our team with the leadership and resources they need to succeed. It also means listening with intention and continuously improving how we show up for our team.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same. We are building a company where people want to be, where they are challenged to be better, and where they are proud of the work they are doing and the team they are part of.
This recognition is a direct reflection of our people and the culture they create every day. We are grateful for our team and the standard they continue to set.
