STANSELL® is proud to support Construction Safety Week, an annual campaign that celebrates the efforts of organizations leading in safety, increases awareness and challenges current practices, and provides resources and best practices for the construction industry. At Stansell, safety is an integral part of our culture. From the office to the field, all team members understand that safety is not a box that we check, but a part of our culture that is lived out daily.
This year’s theme is "Value Every Voice", which is focused on encouraging, listening, and empowering our people in the culture of safety regardless of their role. It is important to create environments that allow for open communication, continuous learning, and teamwork. As stated by the Construction Safety Week organization, "Everyone is empowered to use their voice, but voices only matter if they’re heard. When it comes to safety, nothing is more important than listening, understanding and embracing what is communicated in the workplace. This is how we create the foundation for a culture that empowers and values every voice, and ensures everyone in every role feels seen, heard, and supported."
During Construction Safety Week, STANSELL’s Field Operations Director, Todd McCall, put together an informative and interactive daily program that shares best practices, tips, education, and community involvement that will be shared with the entire team. He has also planned for a company-wide stand down, which allows each job site to take a moment to focus on safety, particularly around fall protection. This along with the safety standards, trade partnerships, customer-service focus, and celebrating our people, STANSELL can continue to create environments where everyone gets to go home safely.
